Method
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Heat skillet and add olive oil and butter. Once butter has melted, add the onion and cook until tender.
- Using a cookie sheet, lay out six flour tortillas and top with cheese and steak. Add sautéed onion and top with more cheese. Place a flour tortilla on top of each quesadilla.
- Place in oven for 2-3 minutes, making sure to pull them out once the cheese starts to melt.
- Cut quesadilla into 6 wedges, and serve with salsa, sour cream and jalapeños, if desired.
Notes
Steak can be a New York strip or whatever your preference. Most times, I also add Swiss cheese with the cheddar. If I am only making two, I use my toaster oven, and place the quesadilla in, and set it to toast-medium.
