Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans Black Beans undrained (15 ounce cans)
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 1/2 Shallot chopped
  • 1/2 Yellow Onion chopped
  • 1/2 bunch Cilantro chopped
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil extra virgin
  • 1-2 whole Jalapeno Peppers chopped - optional

Method
 

  1. Heat oil in a skillet and add diced onions, shallot, salt, pepper, and jalapeños if adding.
  2. Sauté until onions are translucent.
  3. Add cilantro and garlic. Stir into onions and let simmer a few minutes.
  4. Add beans to mixture. Simmer about 30-45 minutes. Serve hot.

Notes

Do not drain the beans.
