First off, I have to disclose that I was approached by Chester Travels to test out and review their Minima Spinner Carry-On Suitcase. They sent me one in the color of my choice, I chose Ocean Blue and it is beautiful!
Carefully Packed for Delivery
It arrived in a box that fit the suitcase snugly. Once opening the box, the suitcase was lovingly protected by a cover that was secured by velcro. The handles had protective plastic sleeves as well. The look of the suitcase is very chic and classy. My biggest surprise was how light the suitcase weighed! It actually feels much lighter than the 7-pound weight listed on the website.
Spinner Wheels Make Steering Easy
Another favorite – the 360-degree spinner wheels that make navigating through airports, airplane aisles, and hotels a breeze! I typically push my suitcase with another bag on top while traveling – and this particular model was much sturdier than my previous carry on.
Much Needed Suitcase
The timing could not have been any better! We were in the middle of selling one home and buying another. The house we purchased needed work, and therefore, we could not move in until it was completed. Thus, my Carry-On became my mobile dresser. And an absolute joy to travel with on a much needed, last-minute trip to Mexico!
Easily Fits in the Overhead Bin
No need to worry about those silly stands to check the size of your bag. Since this is a hard-sided bag, the size meets the airlines’ guidelines for carry-on baggage. I had no issues guiding my bag up the aisle. In fact, my Chester Travels bag slid perfectly into the overhead bin with ease.
I have never had a hard-sided suitcase before. I typically go to a discount store to buy inexpensive suitcases for $90 – $100. I am frugal, not cheap! Keeps Things Organized and Accessible
It opens up like a clam-shell, with two sides to fill with your items. Each side has a zippered cover so nothing falls out. Additionally, the zippered covers have zippered pouches. So, for my “mobile dresser”, I used the pouches for undergarments, as well as some of my notebooks, and bathroom essentials.
Dirty Laundry? No Problem
Another really cool item is the laundry bag that is stored in another zippered pouch inside the suitcase. For our return from Mexico, we placed our dirty clothes in the laundry bag and put it on one side – away from our clean clothes. Two layers of protection from smelly garments ruining our fresh clothes.
Comes with Security Lock Built-In
Worried about security? There is a combination lock that the zippers clip into. TSA can access the bag with their special key if needed. There are two reasons why I really like that the zips clip in… one reason; security, but mostly because it protects the zipper pulls from being damaged. This is especially important if you need to check the bag. I can’t tell you how many zipper pulls I have had to replace!
I really have nothing bad to say about this bag. Honestly, even if I had purchased it myself, I would be just as thrilled with it! Now, I just need to get the larger checked bag; the Regula Checked Spinner Suitcase, and I will have a wonderfully strong and beautiful set to travel with. I highly recommend Chester Travels for your luggage needs!
