My Instagram photo project began because I take a lot of food and travel photos from all over the world. Instagram is a great way to share images, and I like to share these on my Herding Cats Here Instagram page. It’s just something I do for fun.
Lots and Lots of Photos
As a blogger, taking a lot of photos comes with the job. Many of my photos are of the foods I prepare at home for our meals and my various DIY projects. But, the majority of the pictures I share on my Instagram are those taken while traveling.
We Love Traveling
When we travel, we eat out a lot. And, we have a saying, “When in Rome, eat as the Romans”. Which basically just means that we try to eat where the locals eat. As well as tasting their local cuisines. That’s where the majority of my photos typically come from. Instagram is a great place to share these memories.
Gorgeous Veggies at the Ferry Building
Just look at these vegetables I photographed at the Farmers Market on Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco last Fall. They are absolutely stunning. My only regret was that we couldn’t buy any because we were only there for a couple of days.
My Instagram Photos are Colorful & Fun
These veggies all look so scrumptious! They inspire me to cook and eat deliciously fresh food!
So Many Beautiful Places to See and Photograph
Additionally, because I also write reviews about restaurants and hotels we have visited, I have a lot of photos of foods and places.
Being able to post these on Instagram has given me a great way to share so many of my photos before I have had a chance to write the reviews. You can visit our dining out reviews page here and our hotels and resorts travel reviews page here.
Emeril’s Restaurant in New Orleans
I highly recommend a visit to Emeril’s Restaurant if you are ever in New Orleans. We went at lunchtime and had several different appetizers. It was a wonderful experience and the dishes were amazing.
A Recipe You Have Got to Try
Here is a picture of a recipe I shared on Facebook recently, and a friend asked me to send it to her. I had totally forgotten all about it. However, I am so glad she reminded me, because this recipe by Delish was, well, it was Delish! You can find the recipe on their site with this link: Tuscan Butter Salmon.
Leftovers?
What to do with leftover steak, use it to top a salad. Yes, I even take photos of leftovers at my house! And, this salad was incredibly yummy!
So, come along with us as I share the many photos of the various places and foods we have enjoyed in our travels around the world as well as in our own home and hometown.
Enjoy,
Sherri
